Charbonneau, Joseph

Charbonneau was described as a 'Native' in HBC records. He was born in Saulteaux likely in 1820. In addition to employment as a middleman at Fort Victoria, Charbonneau worked intermittently aboard the Beaver as a woodcutter until his retirement in 1854. He died on October 25, 1856 of unstated causes.
